I am over the moon about it. He is perfectly precious. So far, our resident dog is okay with the new interloper but the cat has his reservations. That's okay, we're taking it slowly. I've written many articles about introducing resident dogs to new dogs, introducing resident cats to new dogs, helping cats adjust to change, helping dogs adjust to a new household, and every variation on that theme you can imagine. Now now it's time for me to take my own advice. :-)
What a difference a day makes for adopted shelter dogs. Until yesterday, our new pup had only seen the inside of a cage. Now, this:
New man's first view of the big world
Resident sweetie on left, Mr. Wonderful on right
Make yourself at home, little buddy
Happy New Year, friends. I know 2013 is going to be an excellent year for one more shelter pup.
May the year bring you abundant blessings and joy.
